Planning such a big trip can be overwhelming with so many things to do and reservations to make. The goal of this  Disney World vacation planning spreadsheet is to help you plan an easy, fun and stress-free vacation by guiding you through the process and keeping all the important information organized. 

We have built this spreadsheet based on our knowledge and experience gained from many, many family trips to Disney World, and we’ve tried to make the planning process as easy as possible so that everyone can have a great time.

A trip to Disney is an expensive endeavor, and we feel strongly about maximizing the value you get, while also minimizing the stress. Every bit of decision making you can do in advance will help you relax and enjoy your in-park time as much as possible.

 

So what’s in the spreadsheet? The following categories are organized into 12 separate tabs that flow and work together.

1) Planning Checklist: It is important to start your Disney vacation planning as far in advance as possible, so we have a checklist that shows you what to do in the months leading up to your vacation.

2) Schedule: We give you a big-picture view of your trip that automatically updates as you build your plans.

3) Tickets & Parks: Here’s where we start building your schedule, beginning with the number of park days you want tickets for, and then deciding which parks you will visit and on which days. We also help you make sense of Disney’s add-on options, such as Park Hopper, Genie+ and Lightning Lanes, and provide estimates of what those add-ons will cost. This is where the power of a spreadsheet is infinitely better than a PDF: you provide a few inputs, like the number of people, ticket prices and which add-ons you want, then our sheet does all the cost calculations for you!

4) Resorts and Room Reservations: We give you a list of all the Disney resorts, plus links to their websites so you can decide where you want to stay. Once you make your reservations, we have an easy place to enter the key info, like your confirmation numbers.

5) Dining Reservations: Did you know that Disney World has over a hundred restaurants that require reservations?! That’s a lot of choices to make sense of. Our sheet includes a detailed list of them all to help you make comparisons and decide where you want to eat. The list includes important info such as which meals they offer, their hours, their price ranges, and which park they’re located in. Plus we’ve included links directly to each restaurant’s website so you can view their menus and make reservations. 

6) Cost Estimates: This part of the sheet consolidates all the other info you’ve entered and estimates all of the costs for your trip, which helps you stay within your budget. 

7) Packing List: This part helps you plan for everything you might need/want to bring on your vacation, both for your time at the hotel and for your days in the parks.
